Thank you, everyone, for your patience while we resurface some of our roads. Work was completed on Weeping Cherry Forest Rd., Maple Forest Rd., Red Oak Forest Rd., Hickory Forest Ln., and all but the road apron at the beginning of Poplar Forest Rd.
Work will continue on Friday, Sept. 23rd:
- Hickory Forest Rd. will be closed from 8:30 AM until about 10:30. This closure will also impact Hickory Forest Ln.
- Poplar Forest Rd. will be closed briefly (about 20 minutes), starting at around 10:30 AM. Poplar residents need not move their cars again.
- Rock Springs Rd. will not be resurfaced this year. Unfortunately, our budget won’t allow for the extra materials needed.
- Red Oak Forest Ln., a private road, will be resurfaced in the morning after Association work is complete. Red Oak Forest Rd. will be congested with trucks and equipment. Work should conclude before noon.
The contractor will close each road while resurfacing and reopen them once the chip and seal treatment has cured. Please note that no vehicles may pass while operations are underway. Avoid driving near the edges of the roadway where oil residue is most prominent.
All vehicles and obstructions on the aforementioned side roads should be removed. Residents of these roads may park along the up-hill side of Fairview Forest Drive. Your vehicles should be parked on the shoulder of Fairview Forest Drive to prevent accidents in the roadway.
